I didn't go on an lot of adventures this week, mainly because I was scheduled to work at awkward times. But I did get out early enough on Friday to do some fun stuff. My friend and I decided to go to Wendy's for dinner. Yes, quite random, all things considered. I don't eat out very often, mainly because I can cook my own meals for a lot less money. Go figure. But, I just happened to have a random gift card. So we walked the half-hour trek to Wendy's. For the first time in my life, I tried dipping my fries in the frosty. I'm rather picky (still!), so I was very surprised when I actually liked it! A lot! Then we went back to my friend's old apartment (she's moving in with me) to hang out with some of her friends. We ended up eating ice cream and then we came back to my place to watch a movie. Strangely, the guys that were with us chose Phantom of the Opera. Surprising, isn't it? The best part was when one of the guys sang along with Christine, high notes and everything. Yesterday, I worked two shifts. I don't have to do the cleaning one anymore! Hallelujah!
And today, I had a mini adventure. I helped my friend bring her food, pots, etc. from her old place down to mine. Thing is, neither of us have a car. So, we carried bags and bags and bags and a huge box half a mile down the street. We felt like camels. Because we live in a nice area, people in cars asked if we needed help, but because we live in a crazy world, we said "no thanks." We've been taught to say no to strangers. Thank goodness none of them was a creepy man in a big white van. Yay for stereotypes. But it was an adventure, and our arms will surely be sore tomorrow. Heck, they're already sore.
