Holy cow, what a weekend!
Friday after work, I hung out with a bunch of friends from the FLSR (a.k.a the coolest housing place ever- the foreign language student residence). We watched "Back to the Future", which I haven't seen in about forever.
Saturday was a big day. I traveled with four friends from the German House all over northern Utah. I was the only full American in the car. I just thought that was funny... anywho... We first journeyed to Salt Lake City for a farewell party. We had some time to kill after that before we went to the wedding reception, so we meandered about this fancy new mall. And when I say fancy, I mean it. Not only did they have the standard shops you find around the country, but also crazy stores like Tiffany's and a Porsche merchandise store. I touched a leather jacket that cost more than my first car. It blows my mind that people spend that much money on a jacket. And honestly, it wasn't even that cool.
one of these...
or this...
Really, people? I know exactly which one I'd pick. But then again, I'm not exactly loaded, and rather car-less...
From there, we went on to our friends' wedding reception. Both of them lived in the German House. I just love those two people. Hearts and love and stuff. And guess who caught the bouquet? Me. Me without a boyfriend or any prospects of having one. Needless to say, my loving friends gave me all sorts of crap about it. It is Utah and I do go to BYU... Engagements happen rather quickly. Psh, I learned of four more engagements within a 24 hour period this week. Sheesh, people, let me catch up a bit...
From then we went to this tiny town about 20 miles away from Idaho called Tremonton. We went there because another friend from the German House is going on a mission to Sweden and he was speaking in church today. We watched Aladdin last night. There's a lot of really quotable lines in there that none of us had never noticed before. Now we've all started calling each other things like "my pungent little friend" and "your rottenness" and other lovely things like that. Oh, Jafar...
Today brought us back to the lovely city of Provo. I say that rather sarcastically, since I rarely leave. But I finally met some people from my apartment complex. My roommates and I went to a game night at some guys's apartment. We had a blast! I'm so glad there are wonderful, fun people here. I was beginning to worry a bit, since my last place was so great, and I hadn't met a soul here yet. I'm just glad there are people around. And not only just normal people, but awesome people.
Well, after all these crazy adventures, I should probably sleep. That way I can wake up in time to do something worth posting about. Gosh, it was good to get out of Provo...
