And may the fourth be with you. Ok, so technically it's the fifth now, but I'm writing about the fourth...
Today was pretty nice, despite the fact that I woke up waaaay too late. I didn't miss anything, fortunately. I just woke up about an hour and a half later than I intended, that's all.
I hung out with my friend Carla today. We go way back- all the way to my first day of high school after my family moved to Georgia in 2007. We had first period Geometry together with this crazy teacher. We won't go there... Anyway...We walked to the grocery store. I compulsively bought chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I NEVER buy ice cream. That's not to say I don't like it. I like it too much, and it's expensive, and not exactly something that helps you lose weight. Therefore, I just don't buy it. I also bought a one-dollar Star Wars cup that's probably meant for five-year-olds. It is May the Fourth, after all...
I had a shift at work, too. I got to shovel half-eaten food off plates. So. Much. Fun.
After I got home, I took a shower. Working in the dish room makes you feel kinda nasty. Ok, so today wasn't bad at all. The real reason was that I wanted to wear my Star Wars shirt. And then I watched some Star Wars on YouTube auf Deutsch. That was pretty awesome. Yes, I admit to being a dork. I think last week I had a dream about podracing. It was pretty intense. I think it was somewhat based on a game my brother once had (or probably still has) for his Nintendo 64. I have to blame my brother for the whole Star Wars thing. He was pretty obsessed with it as a child. I remember many nights when we had to watch them. I confess, I didn't like it then, but I do now! It's funny how tastes change.
Crap, I didn't mean to be up this late again. I even paused the movie so I would go to bed earlier. Oh well. Why do I feel so awake at this hour???
Oh, and all that Job Hunting has maybe paid off a little. I have an interview at Joann's on Monday. I think the economy must be picking up, since that's the second interview in two weeks. Compared to all the other job hunts I've been on in the past five years, this is really great. But... interviews are one thing, and getting hired is another thing entirely.
